TRADITIONS:The main traditions used by modern astrologers are

1] Vedic astrology: It is based on the law of Karma which states that human being’s present life is a fruit of his actions in his prvious life.

2] Western astrology : it is based on the position of sun and other planets at any particualr moment. It is used to make horoscopes based on the time of birth and planetery positions at that particualar position.

3] Chinese astrology : this is more popularly known as chinese zodiac which predicts human behaviour  based on characteristics of 12 different animals . these different animals are knowns as 12 chinese zodiac signs.

ASTROLOGY AND SCIENCE:By the time of Francis Bacons , newly emerging scientific discipline acquired a method of systematic empirical induction valiated by experimented observation which led to the scientific revolution. Astrology is now regarded as a scientific study and some individual scientists have also labeled it as a Pseudoscience.

HOROSCOPIC ASTROLOGY:The horoscopic astrology is a system which was developed in the Hellenistic Egypt around the late 2nd or 1st century. A horoscope was calculated based on the moment of an individual’s birth or at the beginning of an enterprise or events because alignment of the heavens of that moment were thought to determine the nature of the subject in question.Horoscopic astrology has been the most influencial and widespread form of astrology across the world, especially in Africa,India,Europe and middle East.There are several major tradition of horoscope astrology, whose originate from hellenistic,including Indian medieval and most other modern western tradition of astrology.
